Q. What is the ProScope?
A: The ProScope™ is a handheld USB microscope that allows you to display and capture microscopic images with your computer.

Q: Will the ProScope™ work on a Mac too?
A: Yes the ProScope™ comes with drivers for both Mac and PC

Q: With which operating systems does The ProScope™ work?
A: PC- Win 98, 98 SE (Windows systems require DirectX 8.0 or greater, available as a free download from Microsoft), 2000, ME and XP (drivers for XP are a free download on our site). MAC- OS 8.6, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2 (ship with The ProScope™) and OS X (a free download on our site).

Q: Does the ProScope™ need batteries or electrical power supply?
A: No. The ProScope™ is USB and draws its power from your computer.

Q: How much ram, processor power and hard drive space do I need?
A: 32mb ram with 64mb recommended, 200 MHZ processor and 2GB HD space.

Q: What is the resolution of The ProScope™ images?
A: The resolution is 640 X 480 at 72 dpi in millions of colors.

Q: Does The ProScope™ come with any lenses?
A: Yes The ProScope™ comes with a 50x lens.

Q: What other lenses are available?
A: 1-10x, 100x, 200x and a c-mount adapter.

Q: What is the purpose of the c-mount adapter?
A: With our 16mm c-mount adapter you can attach The ProScope™ to existing microscope, telescope or camera lenses with a corresponding c-mount.

Q: What is the warranty?
A: The ProScope™ carries a standard 1 year warranty, with a 30 day return or replacement policy

Q: Does the ProScope™ shoot images?
A: Yes The ProScope™ can capture images or video as well as time-lapse with just one click.

Q: How durable is The ProScope?
A: The ProScope™ is made for rough service as crime scene investigators and field scientists all over the world use it.
